A motorcycle gang rolled into Plymouth Saturday to deliver a message: "Jesus is the way." Oh, and they delivered 26 children's bicycles too.
The Soldiers of the Cross rode to the Salvation Army on Long Pond Road to spread the word and share the joy of the season with local youngsters. Instead of motorcycles, many of the members of the motorcycle ministry drove pickup trucks so they could drop off the large load of bikes.
"Most of this is from personal donations," said the chapter president, who called himself by his nickname, Big Dog. "Our members buy bikes and helmets to donate to the kids. The chapter also bought six bikes."
Part of the national Christian Motorcyclists Association, Chapter 950 of Middleboro rides around the region for bike blessings and to save souls. Members travel to motorcycle rallies and other events in New England to spread the Gospel and help other bikers see the light.
