Thunder Beach Autumn Rally arrives in Panama City Beach

PANAMA CITY BEACH — The 20th annual Thunder Beach Autumn Rally officially arrives this week — kicking off Wednesday through Sunday — though the long-standing tradition looks a little different in 2020.

The 2020 Thunder Beach Spring Rally was canceled earlier this year because of the COVID-19 pandemic, and organizers initially thought the Autumn Rally would succumb to the same fate. But Gov. Ron DeSantis moved Florida into Phase 3 of his reopening plan Sept. 25, allowing Joe Biggs, president of Thunder Beach Productions, to secure a special event permit.
